Do I need a gastroscopy for indigestion?

  Indigestion was defined as the presence of one or more of the following symptoms: postprandial fullness, early satiety, epigastric pain or burning sensation. Symptoms should have been present at least 6 months prior to diagnosis and should have met these criteria within the last 3 months. Approximately 25% of patients with dyspepsia are found to have underlying organic disease at the time of diagnostic evaluation. However, approximately 75% of patients have functional (idiopathic or non-ulcerous) dyspepsia.  Common diseases 1, functional dyspepsia; 2, HP infection gastritis; 3, peptic ulcer; 4, gastroesophageal reflux disease; 5, drug side effects; 6, malignant tumors of the esophagus and stomach; 7, duodenal bullae, pyloric dysfunction with bile reflux, power abnormalities, cholelithiasis, etc. However, the correlation with symptoms is poor, and symptoms do not improve after the related diseases are treated.  Early warning signs should be given high priority Weight loss, anemia, blood in the stool, difficulty in swallowing, and ineffective treatment. Do I need gastroscopy?  1.Age older than 40 years old and related symptoms persist for more than 2 months, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy is required; 2.Age younger than 40 years old without warning signs can be given by medication, treatment is ineffective must be endoscopy.
