Hysteroscopic abortion is a visual procedure in which a lens is inserted into the uterine cavity and the exact location of the gestational sac can be seen on the monitor after the injection of the intrauterine inflation fluid, and then a probe or suction device is fed in to remove the sac with the eye visible. The advantage of this procedure is that it causes very little damage to the endometrium, as it operates within the visible field of vision and there is no possibility of damage to the surrounding tissues that could cause accidental injury. However, the disadvantages of this procedure are also there, as follows: 1. the cost is very high, probably 1 times higher than the normal cost of abortion. 2. the expansion fluid may cause excessive absorption by the body resulting in water and sodium retention, which is also one of its risks.
