When lymph node metastasis occurs in rectal cancer, it usually shows that the patient is in the advanced stage of cancer, which is usually difficult to be cured, but the patient still needs to undergo active treatment to prolong the survival period. Rectal cancer is a kind of malignant tumor occurring in rectal mucosal epithelium. Rectal cancer without metastasis can be partly cured after active surgical treatment (open surgery, laparoscopic surgery), with radiotherapy and chemotherapy (capecitabine, oxaliplatin, raltitrexed), but it may still recur. The prognosis of middle and late stage is poor: for patients with more limited metastasis, surgery or chemotherapy can prolong the survival of patients, but usually cannot be completely cured; for patients with extensive metastasis, targeted therapy (bevacizumab and cetuximab), chemotherapy and other means of treatment can prolong the survival of patients. This disease is highly specialized, should be timely to the regular hospital, under the guidance of the doctor to determine the specific treatment plan, and actively cooperate with the treatment, to avoid the deterioration of the condition.
