Under-eye bags are mainly manifested by the bulging of the orbital fat and the sagging and accumulation of the lower lid skin. The main reason for this is the gradual aging of the skin and orbicularis oculi with age, combined with the effects of external factors such as work and prolonged sleepless nights, the lower lid tissues gradually become bloated and swollen. There are two main surgical methods: 1. Internal eyebag removal: for young patients without lower lid skin and orbicularis muscle laxity. The advantage is that the fat in the orbital septum can be removed, no scar remains on the skin, and the subcutaneous petechiae and lower lid edema subside in about 1 week. The disadvantage is: only remove the bulging fat, the skin muscle laxity can not be changed. 2.Eye bag removal by external incision: suitable for middle-aged and elderly patients with lower lid skin and muscle laxity. The advantages are: the bulging fat and loose skin can be removed, and the loose orbicularis oculi muscle can be tightened and suspended to achieve the purpose of facial rejuvenation. The incision scar is not visible at long-term follow-up. The disadvantage is that some patients require a 1-2 month recovery period for the lower lid margin incision scar.
