Dapoxetine Hydrochloride tablets are prescribed for oral use, swallow the tablet whole and it is recommended to take it with at least a full glass of water. The first dose is 30mg, taken about 1 to 3 hours before sexual intercourse. If the results are not satisfactory and side effects are within acceptable limits, the dose can be increased to 60mg, with the maximum recommended frequency of use being once every 24 hours. Patients are advised to use the medication appropriately under the supervision of a doctor. Dapoxetine Hydrochloride Tablets are intended for the treatment of men 18 to 64 years of age with premature ejaculation who meet all of the following criteria: persistent or recurrent ejaculation due to minimal sexual stimulation of the penis prior to, during, or shortly after vaginal penetration, or prior to sexual satisfaction; significant personal distress or interpersonal dysfunction due to premature ejaculation; and poor ejaculatory control. Common adverse reactions include headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, insomnia, and fatigue. Dapoxetine hydrochloride tablets are contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to dapoxetine hydrochloride tablets; they are contraindicated in patients with significant cardiac pathology and in patients with moderate-to-severe hepatic injury; they are contraindicated in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or thioridazine, and should not be used for 14 days after cessation of therapy, and likewise monoamine oxidase inhibitors or thioridazine should not be used for 7 days after discontinuation of this drug. Strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, saquinavir, telithromycin, nefazodone, nafazodone, atazanavir, and others should not be taken concurrently.
