Does thalassemia minor become major?

Thalassemia minor does not become thalassemia major because thalassemia is a genetic disorder in which the patient develops hemolytic anemia due to genetic changes that lead to abnormal synthesis of hemoglobin peptide chains. Because it is a genetic disease, there is no cure, but because it is a genetic disease, the degree of the patient’s disease is determined by the genes, so thalassemia minor does not usually become thalassemia major. Patients with thalassemia minor do not have obvious symptoms of anemia, no pallor, dizziness, weakness, nor does it affect normal work and life, but the average volume of red blood cells is small and the average amount of hemoglobin of red blood cells is low during routine blood tests. However, after removing the trigger, the disease will gradually remit and will not become thalassemia major.
