The presence of lymph nodes in the thoracic cavity is a physiologic phenomenon.
Lymph nodes are mainly composed of lymphoid tissue and lymphatic sinuses, covered with a dense connective tissue peritoneum, which extends into the lymph nodes and forms many intervals or trabeculae, constituting a meshwork scaffolding for the lymph nodes and separating the parenchyma of the lymph nodes into many parts.
When a lesion or inflammation occurs in a part of the body or an organ, bacteria, toxins and other foreign substances can spread to the corresponding nearby lymph nodes via lymphatic vessels with lymph. Lymph nodes have the function of intercepting and removing foreign bodies such as bacteria or toxins.
Patients with lymph nodes in the chest cavity, such as inflammation, tumor and other phenomena, it is recommended to go to the hospital in a timely manner, do the relevant examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and then follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
