Rhubarb and Mudan Tang is formulated with 12g of rhubarb, 3g of mudanpi, 9g of peach kernel, 30g of donggua ren, and 9g of manganese nitrate, and should be used in accordance with medical advice. Rhubarb-Mudan Tang is from “The Essentials of the Golden Chamber” and is a laxative. In the formula, rhubarb and danpi are the monarchical herbs, which play the role of diarrhea, heat and stasis, while manganese nitrate and peach kernel are the ministerial herbs, which play the role of activating blood circulation and stagnation, and donggua ren is the adjuvant herbs, which are clear, beneficial and easy to use. Clinically, it can be used in treating the symptoms such as pain in the lesser abdomen (abdomen) caused by damp-heat stagnation (stagnation of damp-heat evil qi in the body), pain aggravated by pressing, spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the daytime, aggravated by sweating when moving a little bit), malignant cold (afraid of being cold), thin and greasy tongue coating, and slippery pulse.
