Acne refers to acne. Acne on the hairline is mainly caused by dietary habits, excessive sebum secretion and abnormal keratinization of follicular sebaceous gland ducts, which can be treated by general treatment, medication and laser under the guidance of a doctor. 1. General treatment: pay attention to clean the scalp with warm water or mild shampoo, eat less or no high-sugar food, do not stay up late, change pillowcases regularly, wash your hair often, avoid using hair care products containing a lot of oily ingredients. 2. Medication: For mild cases, only topical medication can be used, such as retinoids, azelaic acid, benzoyl peroxide gel, etc. For more severe cases, combined oral medication is needed. The more severe cases need to be treated with oral medication. Commonly used drugs include isotretinoin and antibiotics. 3. Laser or photodynamic therapy: phototherapy uses LED blue light or red light to treat mild to moderate lesions; photodynamic therapy (PDT) uses topical 5-amino ketoglutaric acid (ALA) to enrich the follicular sebaceous gland units, and red light for severe acne; intense pulsed light and pulsed dye laser are used to reduce red marks of acne; and fractional laser is used to treat acne scarring. All of the above medications should be used under medical supervision. Patients are advised to go to the hospital and take targeted treatment under the diagnosis of the doctor and according to the manifestation of the patient’s condition.
