Plantar fasciitis is usually a sterile inflammation that occurs locally in the fascia or tendon, and belongs to the categories of heel pain and foot paralysis in Chinese medicine. It can be treated with acupuncture and moxibustion at Kunlun, Dazhong and Rangu points.
1. Kunlun point: belongs to the foot solar bladder meridian, located in the posterior lateral ankle, the depression between the tip of the outer ankle and the Achilles tendon. It can be used to treat headache, dizziness, strong neck, epistaxis (nosebleed), shoulder, back, waist and leg pain, heel swelling and pain, difficult labor, epilepsy and other diseases.
2. Dazhong Point: belonging to the Foot Shao Yin Kidney Meridian, located on the medial side of the foot, below the back of the inner ankle, in the medial anterior depression of the Achilles tendon attachment. It can be used to treat illnesses such as retention of urine, enuresis, menstrual disorders, lumbar and spinal pain, and heel pain.
3. Rangu Point: belonging to the foot Shaoyin Kidney Meridian, located in the lower front of the ankle, the foot boat bone rough edge of the lower edge of the depression. It can be used to treat menstrual disorders, spermatorrhea, coughing up blood, thirst, diarrhea, swelling and pain on the back of the foot and other diseases.
