Liu Wei Di Huang Wan is effective in improving night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stopping after waking up) caused by kidney yin deficiency, but it needs to be taken under the guidance of a doctor to identify the symptoms. Night sweating is a condition in which sweating occurs after going to sleep but stops after waking up. Six-flavored Di Huang Pill consists of Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Cornu Cervi Pantotrichum, Rhizoma Coptidis, Rhizoma Coptidis, Poria, and Mudan Pi. It has the effect of nourishing yin and tonifying the kidney, and is mainly used for the treatment of night sweating and spermatorrhea caused by kidney yin deficiency, dizziness and tinnitus, lumbar and knee soreness and weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), and bone vapors and tidal fever (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bone to the outside) and other symptoms. Note that spicy food should be avoided while taking the medicine. It is not advisable to take cold and flu medicines while taking the medicine. Use with caution in cases of diarrhea due to deficiency of the spleen (diarrhea caused by weakness of the spleen). If symptoms such as loss of appetite, gastric discomfort, loose stools and abdominal pain occur during the period of taking the medicine, or if the symptoms do not improve after two weeks of taking the medicine, one should go to the hospital for consultation.
