Which is more expensive, MRI or CT?

In general, MRI is more expensive than CT. CT is superior in diagnosing acute cerebral hemorrhage and lung disease. MRI has significant advantages over CT in the diagnosis of central nervous system disorders, especially brainstem and spinal cord disorders, and joint and soft tissue disorders such as intervertebral disc disease. Clinically, the two adjunctive tests sometimes need to be combined with each other to better facilitate the diagnosis of disease.
