Cervical spondylosis is related to paralysis in traditional Chinese medicine. Xingyang Yiqi Tang does not generally treat paralysis, but mainly treats diseases in which the spleen and stomach are weak and dampness and heat are retained in the middle jiao.
Shengyang Yi Stomach Tang can be used clinically to treat weak spleen and stomach, damp-heat obstruction resulting in poor appetite, indigestion, abdominal distension and fullness, white face, fear of wind and cold, heaviness of limbs, irregular bowel movements (abnormal stools), frequent urination, astringent urination, and bitter mouth and dry tongue. Paralysis is not included in the treatment of this formula. Adverse effects and contraindications of Lifting Yang and Benefiting the Stomach Tang are not exact.
