What are the effects of Senagimin Eye Drops?

Senegimine eye drops are indicated for the treatment of neurotrophic keratitis. Senegimine is a recombinant human nerve growth factor, an endogenous protein involved in neuronal differentiation and maintenance that acts through an anterior segment-specific high affinity (i.e., TrkA) and low affinity (i.e., p75NTR) nerve growth factor receptor in the eye. It is clinically approved for the treatment of neurotrophic keratitis. The drug can cause adverse reactions such as corneal deposits, foreign body sensation, ocular congestion, ocular inflammation, and tearing, and should be used under medical supervision. During treatment with this medication, it may cause mild to moderate eye discomfort, such as eye pain. If more serious eye reactions occur, patients should contact their doctor.
