Tuberculosis can be transmitted to children. Tuberculosis is transmitted by airborne droplets, and the population is now generally susceptible. In other words, both adults and children who are infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis are likely to develop the disease. The number of infected Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria and the immune status of the individual are also related to the disease. There is no very good prevention method for tuberculosis. BCG vaccination is the most common prevention method in China, which can reduce the incidence of TB infection and reduce the incidence of TB meningitis, but it cannot prevent 100% of TB. Therefore, the most important prevention method for tuberculosis is to control the source of infection and cut off the transmission route. The so-called control of the source of infection means that patients with open tuberculosis need to be isolated and treated promptly with anti-tuberculosis therapy. After anti-tuberculosis treatment, the infectiousness of most patients decreases significantly. Cutting off the transmission route means that TB patients need to wear masks and pay attention to sputum management.
