Regular use of Chen Pi, Pinellia ternata and Poria cocos

Semixia is poisonous and is usually used after concoction. The regular decoction dosage of Chen Pi, Pinellia and Poria is 3-10g, 3-9g and 10-15g respectively, but the exact dosage should be decided by the doctor according to the patient’s condition. 1. Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae: It has the effects of regulating qi and strengthening the spleen, drying dampness and resolving phlegm (expelling dampness by drying dampness and resolving phlegm). It is used for treating vomiting, eructation (hiccups), damp phlegm, cough with cold phlegm, and chest paralysis (tightness and pain in the chest). Caution should be exercised in patients with yin deficiency and dry cough, and internal solid heat. 2. Semixia: used for damp phlegm and cold phlegm, cough and phlegm, phlegm-drinking vertigo and palpitation (due to phlegm-drinking (pathological products of impaired metabolism of water and fluid) evil caused by vertigo and palpitation), phlegm-convulsive headache (phlegm and evil obstruction of the qi mechanism resulting in headache), etc. It is not suitable to be combined with Chuanwu, Zhanchuanwu, and other ingredients. It should not be used with Chuanwu, made Chuanwu, Caowu, made Caowu, and appendicitis. 3. Poria: It has the effects of nourishing the heart, strengthening the spleen, inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the operation of water to dispel dampness), and is used in spleen deficiency with little food, edema with little urine, and loose stools (thin and unshaped stools) with diarrhea, etc. It is not suitable for use in combination with Poria. It is contraindicated for people with deficiency of cold, essence and slippery, Yin deficiency without water-dampness.
