The early clinical manifestations of appendiceal stump fistula after appendectomy are mainly as follows: First, the patient will still have pain and discomfort in the right lower abdomen after surgery, and the patient’s postoperative pain is continuous and hidden, and will not decrease with the change of body position. Second, the patient will have intermittent fever after surgery, and the body temperature may fluctuate between 38.5-39℃, and the patient’s body temperature may gradually return to normal through drug treatment, but the patient’s fever symptoms may appear repeatedly. Third, the abdominal drainage tube placed after surgery will drain fecal-like drainage fluid, and the culture of pus can be confirmed with a large number of E. coli. Fourth, patients often have varying degrees of abdominal distension after surgery, and low-pressure enemas or oral laxative drugs do not completely relieve the symptoms of abdominal distension. Even with the extension of time, the patient’s abdominal distension symptoms will gradually aggravate, resulting in the performance of incomplete intestinal obstruction.
