What is a ground-glass shadow in both lungs?

Ground-glass shadow in both lungs is one of the descriptions of CT examination of the lungs, which is mainly common in various infectious diseases of the lungs, and does not exclude the possibility of malignant tumors.
Ground-glass shadow refers to a kind of lesion shadow that is mildly overdense but still can see the vascular texture in the lung examination.
1. Lung infectious diseases: because the lungs are infected by viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma, chlamydia, fungi and other infections will cause localized exudation, which may cause double-lung glassy shadow. Regular follow-up of double lung ground-glass shadow is necessary in the later stages.
2. Malignant tumors: Ground-glass nodules in the lungs should be considered according to the size and shape of the nodules and the accompanying symptoms.
