What to do if you can’t eat in the advanced stage of pancreatic cancer

Cardia cancer in advanced stage can not eat, so intravenous nutrition, gastrostomy and nasal feeding can be adopted to provide nutrition. 1. Intravenous nutrition: i.e. parenteral nutrition, nutrient solution of amino acid, essential fatty acid, electrolyte, vitamin and trace element is fed through vein. 2. Gastrostomy: a tube is put into the stomach cavity through the abdominal wall, and nutrient solution is fed into the stomach cavity and intestinal cavity through a tube outside the abdominal wall to ensure the basic energy needs and nutritional requirements of the body. 3. Nasogastric feeding: The nasogastric tube is inserted into the esophagus through one side of the nasal cavity, deep into the stomach and fixed. According to the patient’s condition and nutritional status, enteral nutrient solution or fluid diet is injected through the nasogastric tube with an empty needle, which can help the patient maintain normal metabolism in the body. If the patient develops uncomfortable symptoms, he/she should consult a doctor promptly.
