What are the common symptoms of dehydration in adults and young children?

Dehydration in adults: may usually present as thirst, dry skin, decreased or darkened urine, dizziness and weakness.
Dehydration in infants and children: usually presents as dry mouth, no tears when crying, irritability or unresponsiveness, no nappy change for three hours or more, sunken abdomen, eyes or cheeks, and fever over 39 degrees.
