Symptoms of HPV16 positivity

HPV16 is a high-risk human papillomavirus, which is mainly found in women’s cervix and may cause cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and cervical cancer if it is infected for a long time. HPV16 is the most common type of cervical cancer. Therefore, if HPV16 infection is found, cervical biopsy should be routinely performed under colposcopy, and white acetate and iodine tests should be performed to collect material from the thicker areas of the cervical acetate or areas that are not colored with iodine, and cervical pathology should be performed to clarify the diagnosis. If there is no precancerous lesion or cervical cancer, it is necessary to strengthen the resistance and give timely antiviral medication to promote HPV conversion, because persistent infection may cause cervical precancerous lesion or even cervical cancer.
