Prognosis of malignant melanoma

  The prognosis of advanced melanoma is related to the different metastatic sites and the number of metastatic organs. In general, the average median survival is 15 months for patients with distant lymph node metastases, 8 months for lung metastases, 4 months for liver and brain metastases, and 6 months for bone metastases, with an overall average survival of only 7.5 months.
