At present, there are no proprietary Chinese medicinal preparations for Er Xian Tang. It is recommended that the soup be decocted and taken by a doctor after diagnosis and treatment. Erxian Tang is composed of Semen Materia Medica, Epimedium, Angelica Sinensis, Morinda Officinalis, Phellodendron Bark, Rhizoma Cyperus, and Zhi Mu. Er Xian Tang has the effect of warming kidney yang, tonifying kidney essence, diarrhea of kidney fire, and regulating Chong Ren. It can be used to treat menopausal syndrome, hypertension, amenorrhea, nephritis, pyelonephritis, urinary tract infection, etc., as well as other chronic diseases with deficiency of kidney yin and yang (lack of yang in the kidney) and inflammation of deficiency fire. In this formula, Radix Rehmanniae Praeparata, Epimedium, Morinda Officinalis warm kidney yang and replenish kidney essence; Cortex Phellodendron Bidentata and Rhizoma Zizoma Gastrodiae diarrhea the phase fire and nourish kidney yin; Radix Angelicae Sinensis warms and nourishes the blood and regulates Chong Ren. The use of this formula must be under the guidance of a doctor, not self-medication, so as not to aggravate the condition.
