Pneumonia requires infusion of fluids for several days

The course of treatment for pneumonia is roughly 1-2 weeks, and thus infusion therapy should be given for about 7-14 days. Because body temperature can return to normal or gradually subside on its own within 5-10 days of the onset of pneumonia, it can return to normal within 1-3 days if effective antibacterial medications are used. If the patient’s temperature returns to normal and the antimicrobial medication applied is effective, other accompanying symptoms and signs will gradually disappear. However, infusion therapy for about 12 days does not mean that pneumonia is completely cured, because some pneumonia is slow to infiltrate and absorb, and some lamellar ones are absorbed more quickly and can show pseudocavitation, and most cases are not completely absorbed until 3-4 weeks after the onset of the disease.
