What is the early detection of hypopharyngeal cancer

Early stage of hypopharyngeal cancer can be clearly diagnosed through neck examination, laryngoscopy, e-gastroscopy fiberoptic branch examination and imaging examination.
1. Neck examination: neck examination mainly checks the metastasis of cervical lymph nodes, which helps to diagnose hypopharyngeal cancer at stage.
2. Laryngoscopy: fiberoptic laryngoscopy and biopsy are the gold standard for diagnosing hypopharyngeal cancer, which can distinguish the benign and malignant nature of primary foci.
3. Electronic gastroscopy: electronic gastroscopy can find out the lesion site and understand the involvement of surrounding tissues, and biopsy can be taken and sent for pathological examination.
4. Imaging examination: imaging examination is the main auxiliary means to understand the scope of invasion of primary foci, neck and distant metastasis.
Early stage of hypopharyngeal cancer mainly manifests non-specific symptoms such as foreign body sensation in pharynx, which is not easy to be detected in early stage, and with the progress of tumor, hoarseness and difficulty in swallowing may appear. If patients have related symptoms, they should seek medical treatment as early as possible for early diagnosis and treatment to improve the prognosis positively.
