How long does it take to recover from a finger tendon rupture

  Tendon ruptures in the fingers can usually be recovered in two months.  There are two types of finger tendon rupture, one is closed tendon rupture caused by finger contusion, which is characterized by local swelling and inability to straighten the hand actively, and in this case the patient needs to fix the finger splint for 4-6 weeks, then remove the splint and do functional exercises, and basically recover after two weeks. Another condition is open tendon rupture, the tendon rupture is caused by the finger cut, in this case the patient need to perform surgery to close the tendon, and then fixed with a plaster brace for a month, after a month because the fixation time is too long, the finger will appear stiff phenomenon, the patient need to exercise the finger flexion and extension activities. The intensity of the training should not be too high at the beginning, because the intensity is too high to cause the tendon rupture gradually, usually one month of exercise finger tendon can be restored to the normal state.  In addition, after the finger tendon rupture, the patient can not work within two months, need to do rehabilitation training under the guidance of a doctor.
