What does ultrasound BI-RADs grading 4c mean

The BI-RADS classification is a grading of breast lesions, with grade 4c indicating a 50% to 95% risk of breast malignancy. A definitive diagnosis needs to be made in conjunction with medical history and other tests. BI-RADS grading refers to the American College of Radiology’s Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System abbreviation, used to evaluate the degree of benignity and malignancy of breast lesions, an assessment and classification method, divided into 0 to 6, in general, the higher the grade, the higher the degree of malignancy. BI-RADS grade 4 is categorized as 4a, 4b, and 4c. 4a low suspicion of malignant lesions, 4b tends to be malignant, and 4c has a high likelihood of malignant lesions with a malignant risk of 50% to 95%.
