Normally urine protein in routine urine is negative, if there is an abnormality, there will be a plus sign, the number of plus signs can vary from 1-4, (+) belongs to the least, (++++) belongs to the most. If it reaches (++++), this condition belongs to a large amount of proteinuria, which indicates that the glomerular filtration membrane is severely damaged and the permeability is very high, from which a large amount of protein is lost, mainly seen in nephrotic syndrome. When urine protein (++++) is found in the urine routine, it is recommended to perform 24-hour quantitative urine protein test and blood albumin test to further confirm whether it is nephrotic syndrome. Of course, nephrotic syndrome is divided into primary nephrotic syndrome and secondary nephrotic syndrome, and the treatment for these two types of diseases is different.
