What’s wrong with itchy eyes?

Frequent itching of the eyes, a condition that can be seen in a variety of diseases: the first one is a manifestation of eye fatigue, with symptoms generally manifesting as itchy eyes, foreign body sensation, burning sensation, dryness of the eyes, photophobia, and tearing, but rarely eye discharge, especially yellowish-white purulent discharge. In this case, maintaining reasonable eye habits can gradually return to normal. The second one is allergic conjunctivitis, which is usually characterized by itchy eyes, congestion of the conjunctiva, and a small amount of white discharge. In this case, local anti-allergy treatment should be given by applying cold compresses and using antihistamines, such as sodium cromoglycate eye drops, pranoprofen eye drops and azelastine hydrochloride eye drops. Recovery from this condition is usually still relatively fast, with 3-4 weeks to return to normal, and the prognosis of the disease is good, without any effect on vision.
