Insufficient blood supply to the heart can present with symptoms such as chest tightness and chest pain. It can be treated with medication and interventional therapy.
1. Symptoms.
When laboring or stressing, patients will have a feeling of tightness and pressure-like pain in the retrosternal or precordial area. Symptoms such as chest tightness, palpitation and shortness of breath will be relieved by themselves after rest.
2.Treatment.
(1) Drug therapy: the following drugs are recommended to be used under the guidance of a doctor.
Antiplatelet drugs, such as aspirin can prevent thrombosis and thromboembolism of coronary and cerebral arteries. beta-blockers, such as metoprolol, can reduce myocardial oxygen consumption. Nitrates, such as isosorbide mononitrate, can dilate coronary arteries and increase myocardial blood supply.
(2) Interventional therapy: Coronary intervention can be used for patients with typical or unstable symptomatic episodes and unsatisfactory drug treatment.
When the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to go to the hospital for timely treatment.
