The normal jaundice of full-term newborns does not exceed 12.9mg/dl, and the jaundice of preterm infants usually does not exceed 15mg/dl, so if the jaundice of newborns reaches 15~18mg/dl, it suggests that there is pathological jaundice. Neonatal pathologic jaundice requires timely intervention, and excessive jaundice can cause brain damage. For neonatal pathological jaundice, further examination is needed to clarify the cause of the disease, such as the presence of hemolysis, drugs, congenital biliary diseases, etc., and treatment for the cause of the disease. At present for newborn jaundice, usually use blue light irradiation, drug treatment and so on, the drug can use human blood albumin, gardenia yellow granules, phenobarbital and so on.
