Conization surgery is divided into therapeutic conization and diagnostic conization. Generally, therapeutic conization can completely cut the lesion cleanly, while diagnostic conization may require additional surgical treatment according to the pathological condition. 1. Therapeutic conization: for cervical benign disease or precancerous lesion with clear diagnosis, the pathology shows benign disease after surgery, and there is no lesion on the margin of the resected part, then the lesion can be completely removed. 2. Diagnostic conization: if the diagnosis is not clear before surgery, and the pathology after surgery suggests malignant tumor, severe atypical hyperplasia or residual lesion, additional surgery is needed for further treatment, and the lesion cannot be completely cut clean at this time. Cone cutting surgery needs to be completed according to the patient’s situation, in regular hospitals, qualified physicians need to operate.
