What is the reason for fever and headache at night?

Nighttime fever and headache should first depend on whether the fever is a persistent low fever or a high fever state. High fever should be treated at the hospital as soon as possible. Low fever with pain needs to exclude the following problems: 1) history of tuberculosis; 2) other chronic inflammation of peripheral nerves; 3) central nervous system problems. Relevant tests such as MRI of the head, CT of the chest, or at least X-rays, blood tests and biochemistry should be done. After finding the cause in neurology, medication can be applied to adjust the symptoms. If the fever persists and is accompanied by headache, the cause should be taken seriously, otherwise irreversible damage may occur, so the patient should be seen by a neurologist.
