Can thyroid 4a malignancy be cured?

Thyroid nodules 4A is an ultrasound grading. These nodules, if clearly malignant, can be mostly cured by surgery, while some pathologic types as well as more advanced ones with distant metastases, etc., may be difficult to cure. If considered benign, ultrasound should be repeated periodically.
Clinical cure of malignant tumors is defined as no cancer cells remaining after treatment and no recurrence within 5 years. Thyroid category 4A nodules are defined as low-grade suspected malignancy and have a 2-10% chance of being caused by malignant tumors such as thyroid cancer.
Usually thyroid 4A nodules need to be diagnosed as malignant through puncture biopsy and other confirmation. If the malignant nodule is papillary carcinoma or follicular carcinoma with low malignancy, the prognosis is good and most of them can be cured after treatment, and some of the earlier medullary carcinomas can be cured as well. If the malignant nodules are caused by more advanced medullary carcinoma, undifferentiated carcinoma, lymphoma, metastatic carcinoma, etc., the prognosis is poorer and life expectancy may be affected.
Patients are advised to consult their specialists to determine the severity of the disease in light of the type and stage of the pathology, and to follow medical advice if thyroid nodules are found.
