The phenomenon of a bag growing in the groove of the cartilage of the ear may be a sebaceous cyst, or it may be caused by factors such as folliculitis or pseudocysts, which should be taken according to different causes of different therapeutic measures, such as medication, surgical treatment, and so on.
1. Sebaceous cysts: Sebaceous cysts are formed due to the blockage of the sebaceous gland ducts in the cartilaginous groove of the ear, resulting in the accumulation of sebum and the formation of retention cysts. If secondary bacterial infection occurs, local pain, pus, redness and swelling and other uncomfortable symptoms can be manifested, thus inducing the phenomenon of pain when pressed.
Local anti-inflammatory drugs can be applied externally, or oral cephalosporin, anti-infection treatment, such as enoxacin ointment, cefixime, etc..
2. Folliculitis: Inflammatory dermatosis mainly involving hair follicles, often manifested as red papules centered on hair follicles, and accompanied by itching and pain and other symptoms. If the lesion occurs in the groove of the ear cartilage, it can also induce the phenomenon of long bags of pain, and can be treated with local povidone-iodine solution, fusidic acid cream and other drugs.
3. Pseudocysts: cysts without epithelial cell membranes, which may be caused by congenital developmental abnormalities of the auricle embryo, trauma and other factors, and may also show the phenomenon of a bag growing in the groove of the ear cartilage and painful when pressed. If the size is small and the pain is not obvious, it usually subsides on its own; for larger pseudocysts, treatment by drainage is recommended.
If these symptoms occur, it is recommended to identify the cause and cooperate with your doctor.
