What are the symptoms of colon spasms

Colonic spasms are mainly the result of cold, poor diet or inflammation, causing disturbed peristalsis or excessive contractions of the colon. Symptoms such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, and hyperactive bowel sounds may occur. After eating cold or spicy irritating food, the intestines are irritated and abdominal pain occurs. The patient then experiences a sensation of defecation and may experience diarrhea and profuse anal discharge. After diarrhea and anal defecation, the abdominal pain symptoms may decrease. During diarrhea, stools may become thick or watery, and sometimes there may be a large amount of mucus in the stools, but there is usually no blood or pus. On clinical examination, bowel sounds may be markedly hyperactive and there is pressure pain around the navel. As a result of diarrhea, patients are prone to disorders of water electrolyte and acid-base balance, generalized weakness, generalized lethargy, loss of appetite, and weakness of limbs. When the above symptoms occur, it is recommended to seek timely medical attention, active treatment with the help of doctors, and targeted treatment or therapy.
