The most common cause of forefoot pain is plantar tendonitis. The starting point of the plantar fascia is the heel bone and the termination point is at the base of the toe bone, and when too much sports, weight walking, etc., may cause an increase in the load placed on the plantar tendon membrane, thus causing a sterile inflammation of the plantar tendon membrane. If strain and inflammation occurs in the front part of the plantar tendon membrane, the main manifestation is forefoot pain, while inflammation and strain occurs at the starting point of the plantar tendon membrane, the main manifestation is heel bone and subheel pain. When the arch of the foot collapses or disappears, the ability of the arch to cushion the load disappears, and the plantar tendon membrane compensates for it. Therefore, the plantar tendon membrane is subjected to a very high load, which can easily cause plantar tendon strain under normal activities, resulting in plantar plate pain.
