A routine leucorrhea showing one plus sign for small bacilli indicates the presence of Lactobacillus in the vagina, which is a normal sign. Lactobacillus is a beneficial bacterium in the vagina, which can convert monosaccharides in the vaginal epithelial cells into lactic acid by breaking them down. Thus, it maintains an acidic environment in the vagina and inhibits the growth of other pathogenic bacteria. It also inhibits the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and maintains the vaginal microecological balance by producing anti-microbial factors such as hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins. Therefore, if too few Lactobacillus are checked in the vagina, it can easily cause vaginal inflammation, while frequent sexual intercourse, frequent vaginal irrigation, long-term application of antibiotics, and application of immune preparations can affect the growth of Lactobacillus. This causes dysbiosis, which leads to the growth of other pathogenic bacteria and causes inflammation.
