Do I need to fast to check hcg and progesterone?

You do not need to be fasting when you go to the hospital for a blood test for progesterone and HCG in early pregnancy. During pregnancy, these 2 hormones are more important. The progesterone level and HCG doubling can intermittently reflect whether the fetus is developing well in the uterus. If the progesterone is particularly low it can easily lead to miscarriage, freak miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and a bad doubling of HCG increases significantly the probability of miscarriage and embryonic abortion. These 2 tests are done mainly within 2 months of pregnancy. For low progesterone, progesterone can be supplemented and for low HCG, hospitalization for fetal preservation can be considered. However, pregnancy is also a process of superiority and inferiority. If these 2 indicators have been unsatisfactory and the rising status is not good, you need to consider that the fetus is of bad quality and may be eliminated eventually.
