Should you puncture a blister on the bottom of your foot

Blisters on the soles of the feet (medically known as blisters) should not be punctured on their own, but need to be addressed to the cause of the disease, under the guidance of a professional physician through general treatment, medication and other treatment modalities to improve the condition. Blisters on the soles of the feet are usually caused by friction, athlete’s foot, eczema and other diseases.
1. Friction: After the soles of the feet have been rubbed for a long time, the local tissue fluid oozes out and blisters appear. If the blisters are small, they can be absorbed and subside by themselves after avoiding friction; if the blisters are big, you can use a sterile syringe to discharge the blisters and then use iodine povidone to sterilize the treatment.
2. Tinea pedis: patients with tinea pedis, feet can appear blisters, then you can first use boric acid solution to soak the feet; topical antifungal treatment, such as ketoconazole ointment, terbinafine cream, etc.; the condition of the more serious, oral antifungal treatment, such as itraconazole, terbinafine and so on. It is not recommended to pick through, so as to avoid secondary infection.
3. Eczema: eczema caused by blisters on the soles of the feet, can not be broken to avoid secondary infection. Glucocorticoids can be used externally to control inflammation, such as mometasone furoate ointment, dexamethasone ointment, etc.; itchy, external antipruritic treatment, such as glycerite lotion, etc.; intense itching, oral antihistamine treatment, such as loratadine. Generally, after eczema treatment, the blisters will gradually subside.
