Balance is the best care for your breasts

Usually, we think that people will suffer from various diseases only when they are older, but at a young age, when they are in their youthful prime, diseases will not “come to the door” so early. However, the development trend of breast disease shows that this “uninvited guest” has the tendency to come early. Data shows that in recent years, the incidence rate of breast cancer in China is increasing at a rate of 3% per year, and the age of onset is gradually becoming younger. Clinically, breast cancer mainly occurs in adult women after puberty, mainly in the age group of 35 to 55, accounting for about 75% of all patients, but the proportion of adolescent girls is also increasing year by year. How should we deal with such an aggressive “enemy”? In this issue, we interviewed Professor Yang Qifeng, director of breast surgery at Qilu Hospital of Shandong University, to hear how he gives us tips. The data shows that patients with nipple overflow account for about 10% of all breast diseases. Most of the nipple overflow is caused by lesions of the breast ducts themselves, inflammation of the breast, benign lesions of the breast, malignant tumors of the breast, etc. Most of the nipple overflow is caused by benign lesions of the breast. But how do you go about distinguishing whether nipple overflow is caused by physiological factors or pathological factors? ”For patients themselves, a simple and effective way to determine nipple overflow is to look at its manifestations.” Director Yang told reporters, “Generally speaking, if the factor is a systemic physiological phenomenon, then nipple overflow may manifest itself as overflow from both breasts, in addition to being multi-pore rather than single-pore overflow. However, if there is overflow from only one breast and it appears to be a single hole overflow, the possibility of pathological factors is very high and you should seek early medical attention for further scientific examination.” Director Yang said, “Nipple overflow is a very cunning and insidious condition because its detection is more complicated and difficult. A lactoscope may not be able to reach the diseased area during detection, so patients should still seek early medical attention when abnormalities occur in the breast.” ”Pathological nipple discharge, if allowed to develop, is still very dangerous.” Director Yang introduced, “Nipple overflow can lead to diseases such as intraductal papilloma and intraductal carcinoma, and the risk of malignant transformation is great, which is something that should be given enough attention.” For many very early stage breast cancer, the traditional way of total mastectomy often gives people a feeling of killing a thousand enemies but losing 800. The psychological stress that will be endured in the future may have to be very high.” Therefore, breast-conserving surgery was born, but traditional breast-conserving surgery still has drawbacks, that is, beauty is retained, but for some patients, it also leaves a health hazard, increasing the risk of recurrence, which is also one of the bottlenecks of this breast-conserving surgery. ”Based on the previous ones, our department has made improvements to breast-conserving surgery to ensure maximum post-operative safety for patients.” Director Yang said, “In simple terms, it means that we only hollow out the gland and the nipple areola is preserved because according to research, as long as the cancer or tumor does not invade the nipple areola and other tissues at that time, then its risk of disease is very low and we can preserve it through surgery and then implant an implant inside to ensure that the shape of the breast is not destroyed, so that both This way, the aesthetic appearance of the breast is taken into account, while the risk of surgery and post-operative recurrence rate are reduced.” Dr. Yang emphasized that the ultimate goal of surgery is to help patients eliminate disease, so breast surgery will consult with patients before surgery, while taking into account their specific conditions, and will not increase the risk of surgery by simply preserving the breast. The joint collaboration between breast surgery and pathology also allows for a more accurate diagnosis, laying the foundation for choosing the correct surgical approach. Maintaining homeostasis is key Physiological and psychological balance As the standard of living improves year by year, the cause of breast disease may not be due to eating poorly, but precisely because of eating too well. ”Breast cancer, fibroadenoma, nipple overflow, and ductal dilatation of the breast are currently the most treated conditions in my department.” Director Yang said, “Many breast diseases, and diet and living have a lot to do with high fat, high calorie, hormone intake, which increases the body burden, may induce the occurrence of breast diseases and increase the chances of disease.” Director Yang emphasized that maintaining balance and homeostasis is something we should promote, not only limited to breast disease, but at all times, we should be aware of it. ”Too much is not enough, our body’s load capacity is limited, if we can’t maintain a kind of ecological balance, blindly eating and taking big supplements, it is something that is harmful to the body rather than beneficial.” Director Yang said, “In addition to diet and living, women should pay more attention to the psychological level of balance and homeostasis, to learn to regulate their emotions, to avoid excessive fluctuations, so as not to cause physiological disorders.” Although breast disease is very dangerous, but if you can pay attention to the reasonable intake of diet and emotional stability, there is a positive preventive effect, at the same time, after the discovery of the disease, remember not to delay, but should go to the regular hospital as soon as possible.
