Do new crowns have a high mortality rate?

The mortality rate of new crowns is not considered high. According to the National Economic and Social Development Statistics Bulletin of 2021, by the end of 2021, the cumulative death rate of new crowns in the country was 4,636, with a mortality rate of 0.013%. At present, due to the different epidemic prevention measures and different medical treatment levels in different regions and countries, as of March 2022, the global cumulative mortality rate of new crowns reached 1.37%. Currently, the mortality rate of new crowns is not high, and most patients are mildly ill or asymptomatically infected, and may have fever, cough, and mild lung lesions, which may affect respiratory function to some extent but do not lead to death. As far as the current data are concerned, the majority of patients with severe disease or death are reported to be elderly and with other underlying diseases, such as cardiovascular disease and other serious diseases in advanced stages.
