White radish seeds, or Rafflesia, are used for treating food stagnation, epigastric distension (a feeling of swelling and fullness in the stomach and abdomen), constipation and other conditions by eliminating flatulence, lowering qi and resolving phlegm.
As a traditional Chinese medicine, it is derived from the dried mature seeds of radish of the family Cruciferae. It is neutral in nature, and its effects include eliminating flatulence, lowering qi and resolving phlegm, and can be used to treat or improve food stagnation, epigastric distension and pain, constipation, diarrhea, and phlegm congestion and coughing.
It should be noted that Lapis tinctoria is pungent and dissipates Qi, so it should be used with caution in people with Qi deficiency and those without food stagnation (indigestion of food stagnating in the stomach) or phlegm stagnation, and it should not be used with Panax ginseng.
The drug should be taken under the guidance of a doctor, and should not be used on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
