What is haloperidol?

Also known as norfloxacin, haloperidol was the first fluoroquinolone to act clinically and is a third-generation quinolone broad-spectrum antibiotic. It has a strong antibacterial effect and is extremely effective against gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Shigella, Enterobacteriaceae, Campylobacter, Salmonella and Neisseria. It is mostly used clinically for gastrointestinal and urinary tract infections caused by sensitive bacteria, and can also be used topically to treat eye and skin tissue infections. However, the drug needs to be used strictly in accordance with medical advice, and should not be used blindly.
