How long to stay in the hospital for heart failure

The length of hospitalization for heart failure patients is related to the patient’s own heart failure, the presence of complications and other specific conditions, ranging from 10 days to several months. People with severe heart failure may not be discharged from the hospital for a long time. Those with less severe heart failure and better results from the use of medications, i.e., two weeks, can be discharged from the hospital. However, those with more severe heart failure and complications such as water and urine retention will have to address the complications while improving their heart function, which takes more than a month in this case. Those with more severe heart failure and complicated and serious complications should be treated with multidisciplinary therapy while maintaining their vital signs, and the length of hospitalization in this case will be on the order of 40 days. People with heart failure should have regular medical checkups, rest as much as possible, and keep an eye on their blood pressure and blood lipids.
