Pain at the opening of the ear may be caused by conditions such as acute otitis externa, boils on the external auditory canal, or injury to the skin of the external auditory canal.
1. Acute otitis externa: mainly due to local inflammation caused by low immunity and bacterial infection. As there is little soft tissue under the skin of the external auditory canal, the skin is close to the cartilage membrane. When the external auditory canal is inflamed, the swelling caused by inflammation will stimulate the nerve endings under the skin, so it will cause severe pain in the ear opening.
2. Boils in the external auditory canal: mainly due to repeated ear digging and adverse stimulation, resulting in secondary bacterial infection of local sebaceous glands, hair follicles and ceruminous glands, forming boils. The boil will gradually swell and turn into pus, blocking the ear canal and causing pain at the ear opening.
3. Skin breakage of the external ear canal: mainly due to the skin rupture and abrasion caused by over-pulling out the ears, because the nerves of the external ear canal are more sensitive, and the phenomenon of pain in the ear opening occurs.
It is recommended that patients with pain in the mouth of the ear should consult a doctor in time, and standardize the treatment after diagnosis and clarification.
