The HPV test is usually chosen 3-7 days after a woman’s menstruation. After menstruation is clean, contamination from menstrual blood can be avoided and vaginal discharge is less, which has relatively less effect on the test results. However, this is not an absolute time for HPV test, HPV test can be performed during non-menstrual period and abnormal vaginal bleeding. one day before HPV test, intercourse, vaginal douching and drug application are prohibited, so as to avoid the reduction of exfoliated cell tissue and secretion after douching and drug application, which will affect the detection rate. HPV test is divided into high-risk type and low-risk type, high-risk HPV infection is the causative factor of cervical cancer, while low-risk type HPV infection tends to lead to the production of papilloma, which is relatively less likely to cause cancer.
