Do uterine fibroids recur after being removed?

Fibroid removal surgery can recur, but don’t be afraid of it, its recurrence is related to several factors: 1, the most obvious related factors, some studies show that the recurrence rate is about 15% on average after observing for more than one year, i.e. about 3%-30%, the longer the observing period is, the amount of recurrence will be a little bit bigger; 2, the most important related factors are related to the number of fibroids, multiple fibroids, i.e. fibroids >5, the recurrence rate will increase obviously; clinically, there have also been patients who may have more than 20 or 30 fibroids, or even more, and then recur in less than one year. The recurrence rate of multiple fibroids, i.e., fibroids > 5, is significantly higher; there are patients with fibroids that may be more than 20 or 30, or even more, and may recur in less than a year. The recurrence rate of single fibroid is obviously decreased, and even no recurrence in the whole life; 3. It is related to the age, if the patient is close to menopause, in his 40s or 50s, the age is close to the menopause, and the chance of recurrence is very rare. Even if the tumor recurs, it will be very small and will shrink naturally after menopause, while the recurrence rate of young patients will increase, so it is related to age.
