What to do if you get bitten again after getting a rabies shot.

Bitten again after having received a rabies vaccination. Its disposal program needs to be judged in conjunction with the time interval between the last dose of rabies vaccination.

1. Wound treatment: any bite requires timely and standardized wound treatment, including cleaning, disinfection, and surgical treatment.

2. For those who have been previously vaccinated with rabies vaccine, if they are bitten again within 3 months and the injured animal is healthy and has been immunized and can be observed for 10 days, then the booster vaccination will be postponed under the premise of ensuring that the wound is given the correct treatment.

3. If a person has been vaccinated against rabies and is bitten again more than 3 months ago, he/she needs to receive 1 dose of rabies vaccine on day 0 and 1 dose on day 3.

4. If a substandard vaccine has been used before, or if a person has not received the full dose of vaccine, or if the person has been exposed to class III, he/she needs to receive the full dose of rabies vaccine after being bitten again.
