Symptoms of glandular cystitis

Patients with glandular cystitis may experience symptoms such as urinary urgency, frequency, and pain, and some patients may also experience pain in the lower abdomen and perineum, hematuria, and dysuria. Glandular cystitis refers to the occurrence of adenoidal metaplasia of the bladder mucosa, and its symptoms are mainly bladder irritation, such as urinary urgency, frequent urination, and painful urination. Some patients may also experience pain in the suprapubic area and perineum, and hematuria when surface blood vessels rupture. Patients with severe glandular cystitis may have difficulty urinating or even urinary retention due to the localized presence of hyperplastic glandular tissues that cause blockage of urination. In addition, there is a risk of cancer due to long-term irritation of the bladder tissue by adverse factors, which can be life-threatening. Most of the glandular cystitis are benign lesions with good prognosis after timely and effective treatment, but transformation of glandular cystitis into adenocarcinoma cannot be ruled out and should be taken seriously. Once symptoms such as urinary urgency and urinary pain appear, go to regular hospitals for consultation and treatment in time.
